This atmospheric pub is the last gas-lit inn in England, and bears more resemblance to some sort of saloon bar than an old boozer.

There’s a cellar bar which hosts gigs and festivals regularly, as well as open mic nights and arts meetings. If you go, do have a look at the two murals in the back room and see how many celebrities you can spot.
